  • Know exactly what anxiety is and why it is good for us.
  • Learn how to reduce the effects of stress and anxiety on their lives.
  • Learn some simple strategies on how to control anxiety.

Emotional Psychoeducation and True Self-Confidence Workshop for teens.

This two-hour session teaches adolescents all about emotions, what they are, how we feel them and why we feel them. Most importantly how we can manage them if we feel they are taking over our lives. A very important part of this workshop looks at self-confidence and how we can only gain true self-confidence when we forget about being ‘perfect’!

Workshop Objectives:

After this workshop teens will be able to:
  • Know what emotions are and how they affect us.
  • Understand the importance of emotion and allowing ourselves to feel them.
  • Learn how to process emotions in a healthy way.
  • Understand that we can’t measure our self-esteem and therefore it is true self confidence that is more beneficial to strive towards.
  • Let go of linking situations to self-e.g. I failed my maths test therefore I am a failure.
  • Understand the myth of perfection thus let go of striving towards it.
